In yoga, breathwork—known as pranayama—is fundamental. It helps connect your body and mind, grounding you and enhancing mindfulness. One of the simplest breathing exercises is deep belly breathing: place one hand on your stomach, inhale deeply through your nose, and feel your belly rise. Then exhale slowly, letting your belly fall. Breathing this way during yoga helps you stay focused, calm, and present.
